LaMATS Brownfield Assessment Program Underway

Brownfield sites are real properties prevented from full use, sale or redevelopment by the presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant or contaminant.

LaMATS has partnered with leading expert Dr. John Sutherlin, Ph.D., of the CAID Group in a pilot brownfield assessment program to assist local governments in securing Federal EPA funds for site remediation.

A limited number of free brownfield assessments will identify properties in select municipalities in need of environmental remediation and sources of funding to complete it.
