Cooperative Purchasing Commission Offers Electronic Bidding Service
The LACPC is a Cooperative Joint Commission established to assist members in soliciting materials and supplies as a group and to manage the electronic bidding process on the LACPC bid platform. Through the LACPC, members help defray the time, cost and effort of soliciting contracts on their own and create cooperative or joint contracts that can be shared among the membership.
The Commission is currently seeking proposals for new water meters and bleacher covers for Mooringsport and Ascension Parish Recreation District No. 2. While these contracts are not transferable, many cooperative use (joint use) contracts have been created in compliance with Louisiana Revised Statutes Title 33 and are available to other local governments.
Some recent cooperative use contracts secured include: Bulk Hydrated Lime for use in potable water treatment; Heavy-Duty Utility Tractor & Accessories; Law Enforcement Stun Gun (TASER) Technology, and more.
To join the LACPC and take advantage of the bidding services and cooperative use contracts it secures, contact Paul Holmes, LaMATS Procurement Consultant, at LACPC@lamats.net. You may also visit https://lamats.net/lacpc to download the membership resolution to join the LACPC.
