LaMATS Board Elects New Officers
At the August 2 meeting of the LaMATS Board of Directors, held in Alexandria prior to LMA’s 86th Annual Convention, members voted in the new slate of officers to include Woodworth Mayor David Butler as President; Sibley Mayor Jimmy Williams as Vice President; and Grosse Tete Mayor Michael Chauffe as Secretary/Treasurer.
In accepting his new role as Board President, Mayor Butler commended Immediate Past-President, Pineville Councilman Nathan Martin, for his “exceptional leadership on behalf of the LaMATS mission and a sterling example to follow” as his own term begins. Mayor Butler, along with incoming Vice President Mayor Williams, presented Councilman Martin with a plaque commemorating his time in office and expressing the Board’s gratitude for his exemplary service.
Councilman Martin, who will remain on the Board, thanked fellow members and LaMATS staff for their “support and outstanding dedication to serving Louisiana’s local governments and elected leaders.”
