LaMATS Celebrates Flag Day
Celebrated every June 14 in the United States, Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the "Stars and Stripes" design of the American flag on this day in 1777. Though not an official Federal Holiday, the special date was officially recognized by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916, and on August 3, 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.
