LaMATS Imaging Service Films Sicilian Heritage Festival

LaMATS was pleased to serve the Town of Independence last weekend (June 6) by using aerial drone imagery to film the popular annual Sicilian Heritage Festival from a unique point of view.

"We were delighted to accept Mayor Jim Paine's invitation to help capture the town's festivities in full swing," said LaMATS Executive Director Cliff Palmer, who delivers and pilots the camera-mounted drone at locations and events statewide.

The free service is provided in partnership with University of Louisiana Monroe's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Research Lab and the Louisiana Municipal Association.
