LaMATS Salutes and Supports LAMSA
More than 80 municipal secretaries and administrative professionals attended LAMSA’s 31st Annual Spring (Personal Growth) Conference in Bossier City last week. President Yvonne Lewis called the conference to order on May 5th and expertly managed the full two-day agenda. LaMATS congratulates all who received their Certified Municipal Assistant (CMA) or recertification. LAMSA’s Immediate Past President, Myra Streeter, was recognized for her years of faithful service to the organization. Myra retired from the City of Walker at the end of 2020 with more than 20 years of service. In addition to holding a CMA, she is a Certified Municipal Clerk. Myra’s leadership, counsel and contagious laugh is already being missed by her many LAMSA friends and colleagues.
LaMATS is proud to be an ardent supporter of LAMSA, and is already looking forward to the fall conference scheduled for October 6-8 in the fine City of Pineville.
Mayors Panel participants (L to R); St. Gabriel Mayor Lionel Johnson, Jr., Haughton Mayor K.W. Gaspard, President Yvonne Lewis, Homer Mayor (Dr.) Xanthe Seals, Mooringsport Mayor Chester Coffman, and Opelousas Mayor Julius Alsandor.
