Sign of the Times

Just in time for this weekend’s world-famous Tarpon Rodeo, held annually in the Gulf waters beyond Grand Isle, a beautiful new sign will greet participants and townsfolk coming in for the festivities.

The elaborate custom design was created by Gibko Signs of Bunkie, Louisiana (gibko.com), and funded by the International Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo organization, Jefferson Parish and the Town of Grand Isle. LaMATS is proud to have played a part in securing this timely delivery.

Grand Isle Mayor David Camardelle, longtime LaMATS Board Member, praised the work of Gibko Signs and the procurement assistance of Paul Holmes and Cliff Palmer of LaMATS.

“We take tremendous pride in our town and our great traditions like the Tarpon Rodeo,” said Mayor Camardelle. “Now that pride is on display for all to see, thanks to Gibko’s incredible work and the helpful assistance of LaMATS.”

The Tarpon Rodeo runs this year from July 22-25. More information can be found at: tarponrodeo.org/
