St. Martinville Splashes Into Summer
The families of St. Martinville will have a new place to play and relax this summer with the completion of a nearly 1,800 square foot “splash pad” water park, set to open in approximately four weeks. The new park, custom built by LaMATS contracted vendor partner Kincade Recreation, will include numerous safety and play features, like a tumble bucket, flower-shaped water sprays and something called “Crocodile Steve.” St. Martinville Mayor Melinda Mitchell held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 2, accompanied by City Police Chief Ricky Martin and Councilwomen-Elect Janice Anthony and Florita Chatman.
