Town of Arcadia Honors Late Mayor Eugene Smith

Arcadia Mayor O’Landis Millican and town council members, Melanie Monroe, Joseph Pruitt, and Edwin Mason, honored the life of former Mayor Eugene Smith by renaming their event center last week. 

“The town is proud to recognize the extraordinary contributions, dedication, and service to our community by Eugene Smith, and we celebrate his life, legacy, and the countless lives he touched over many years,” stated Mayor Millican. 

Past LMA (and LaMATS) President, Carroll Breaux of Springhill, and LaMATS Executive Director Cliff Palmer, attended the program and enjoyed reminiscing with the late mayor’s adoring family and friends.
